Daijiro’s career began at JPMorgan, where he worked in derivatives trading from 1994 to 2000. He has now transitioned from a career as a trader to becoming a venture entrepreneur.
Daijiro is one of Japan’s leading experts in interest rate derivatives trading and has played a key role in modernizing financial operations within domestic institutions by leveraging his international banking experience.
Before co-founding Nippotica, Daijiro served as Deputy Head of External Relations for the University of Tokyo Endowment Fund. From 2018 to 2022, he was Head of Derivatives Markets at SMBC Nikko Securities. Prior to that, he worked at Société Générale from 2009 to 2016 and Deutsche Securities from 2000 to 2009, specializing in derivatives and government bond trading.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Keio University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Tokyo.
